Bio

b.  1995 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Kimberly Willcox (she/her/hers) is an interdisciplinary artist in the Philadelphia Area. After recieving her BFA in Painting from Tyler School of art at Temple University, She pursued her MFA in Sculpture and Dimensional Studies from the New York State School of Ceramics At Alfred University with a concentration in Glass. There she explored the complex nature of the interpersonal relationships that shape who we are. By using material poetics and found objects, she created an immersive installation to present her MFA Thesis, Buried, Encased, Embedded.

Having received her degree, she returned to her home studio in Pennsylvania and is currently working with kiln forming, flameworking, and neon to explore the ways in which glass can illustrate emotional tension in the body and its surrounding environment.
